Does ScreenBuddy support Windows?
Yes. ScreenBuddy v1.8.0 supports Windows 10 or later on x64 as well as macOS 12 or later on Macs with Apple Silicon (Intel Macs are not supported). Both support recording, editing, and local captions; capture permissions and available audio inputs depend on the operating system.
What can I do before buying?
Record and edit free. Exporting and shareable links need a subscription. Exports support MP4 and GIF.
Does ScreenBuddy upload my recordings?
Only if you choose Share a link, which uploads that finished MP4. Recording, editing, previews and exports are processed locally. Internet access is required for sign-in, subscription verification, updates, and optional caption-model downloads.
How do I manage my subscription?
Sign in at screenbuddy.xyz/account with the Google account you use in the app. From there you can switch plans, update your card, cancel, or download receipts. Bought a license key before October 2026? It still works; contact us with the purchase email if you lost it, and never post the key publicly.
